Cashier Security

The GSS softwareCashier Security captures cashier data daily and/or weekly from all stores. The cashier security reports organize this information to provide meaningful information to the headquarters relating to potential security problems.

The reports are designed to provide a guide to potential front-end security problems in the stores. The reports list summary totals that represent potential security problems at the front-end (e.g. the average item value if low could indicate "sweet-hearting" by the clerk).

In many cases these reports will simply show productivity issues. (e.g. certain cashier numbers are used for the courtesy booth, some cashiers work odd shifts, some cashiers take time to correct not-on-file problems etc.) These reports are intended as a guide only.

The reports provided with this software also compare each store with the average of the stores selected.

Information presented on the reports includes:

  • Sales per hour
  • Orders (customers) per hour
  • Items per hour
  • Refunds per hour
  • Voids per hour
  • Coupons per hour
  • No-sales per hour
  • Over/short percent to hours worked
  • Average order total
  • Scan item percent
  • Keyed item percent

The ranking reports allow a percent and quantity to be keyed, so that cashiers that have "quantity keyed" percents/averages less then the percent (compared to all cashiers selected) keyed, show up as target cashiers.
